    Hey everyone,

I'd like to let you all know that a handful of Gameloft titles are currently in-review by Apple to receive free demo versions. Some of these titles include:

    WARNING: Gratuitous, unnecessary smilies ahead
    • Blades of Fury
    • Modern Combat: Sandstorm
    • Real Soccer 2010 :D
    • Brain Challenge 2

So keep an eye out for them and hopefully you'll like what you play after dipping your toes in.

    UPDATE:
BLADES OF FURY (FREE) IS NOW LIVE.
MODERN COMBAT: SANDSTORM (FREE) IS NOW LIVE.

REAL SOCCER 2010 (FREE) IS LIVE
BRAIN CHALLENGE 2 (FREE) IS LIVE

more people need to ditch the 1 out of 10 number system for reviews and implement the smilies system ala gamepro.

    granted, gamepro totally sucked.

I will now defend my smilie usage:

Your rearrangement makes sense if you're approaching each smilie as an indicator of excitement for each title. I was using them to capture a feeling, emotion, or idea in each title.

 This guy is either a battle-hardened badie in Blades of Fury, or the girl who gets burned in the opening cinematic.
 Sunglasses are the closest thing to military goggles I could use.
:D Okay, this one was arbitrary.
 This is the expression of someone who just had their domepiece imploded by a payload of knowledge.

I take my symbolic smilies very seriously. I guess we just don't see eye-to-eye on this. But here is a token of my respect for you: :)

And your patronage will not go unnoticed :)

But for those who don't want to cross that barrier of entry (aka money ), we're excited that these free demo versions will incentivize people to check them out. The super secret scientific recipe here at Gameloft is as follows:
Turn  into :D by getting rid of $.

Well, I work for Gameloft. Without getting too much into specifics, I receive forwarded emails from some of my co-workers, which contain information on the description and status of updates for Gameloft titles being reviewed by Apple.

Okay, but when are they expected? What's up with Nova by the way? Are you and your boys ever going to make a game like Donkey Kong vs Mario?

The free versions are currently in-review by Apple. Now that it's in their hands, it's hard to say when you'll see them on the App Store because we're pretty much in the dark on their timeline. No promises, but I'd say you'll start seeing them within the week or next week.

As for upcoming projects, I really can't say. I'm a social media intern and don't know that much about the dev side of things. There's a strong chance that fairly soon I'll be posting announcements regarding new titles and info beyond updates.

Apart from brain challenge i'll gladly try out all the demo/lite versions, as I do not own any of them yet.

    Doing nothing of importance.
    Somewhere
I already tried the NFL2010 and Gangstar demos, and they're done really... stupidly... You have limited content, like a very small part of town and 2 missions in Gangstar and 2 teams and 1 stadium in NFL which I dont mind, bit it also limits how much you can use the app apparently. You get a total of 3 game minutes in NFL and idk how much in Gangstar. After that, it goes to a "Buy full version" screen, then it goes back to the main menu. But they then remove the play button, so you're stuck with a 30-80 mb main menu where you can change options and look at the menu. I havn't tried re-installing them, but it probably won't work.
