How does CR2 compare to both?

Just bringing this one back to the surface with a reminder that SE avoid doing sales as much as possible, so if you see something you like in this list, you'd better grab it now. :p

Personally, I thought CR2 had a much more involving story, better gameplay, a greater sense of immersion and better writing.

TL;DR CR2 surpasses the first two in every way.

Not sure if this helps but I played through the whole game on my iPhone 3Gs and it never crashed once. However frame rate would drop in battle very often. Wasn't game breaking at all.

They are all good and each of the three titles are part of the same storyline. They were released in the following order: Chaos Rings-->Chaos Rings Omega-->Chaos Rings II. Chaos Rings Omega actually takes place years before the other titles, so it's a prequel of sorts. You could play them in order of release, or play Chaos Rings Omega first. Up to you.

Is chaos rings 2 worth the $10 price tag?

Yeah, I'd have to say it depends on your view of Square's titles. If your enjoyed the first one, or looking for a sort of FFX like title on your iDevice, then yeah, I'd say pick it up.

But if you don't really like 3D RPGs, or feel that Square titles aren't worth their prices, you just might wind up being disappointed.

Personally... I love Square Enix, and just can't get enough of em. I thought it was worth it at the original price,

BWAHAAAAA THIS IS MY 10,000th POST!!

I thought TWEWY was more suited for the touchscreens, IMO, especially coming from the DS...

But as far as story/substance goes, I thought that the story in TWEWY was better than CR2, but CR2 has quite a bit more substance/a longer plot and story arc.

As far as gameplay, it's hard to compare the two because they're so different... With CR2 being a turn-based system and TWEWY being more Real-Time/Action RPGesque.

So... Yeah... Sorry... Hard for me to compare the two, but I feel that they're both definitely worth picking up. But I'd play through TWEWY again before playing through CR2 again.

I recently got TWEWY and is one of the best titles I've played on my iPad. Just keep in mind though that it is not your traditional JRPG.
