I just read about Peer to Peer connectivity and was wondering what is and how does it work? Is it like DS/PSP game sharing or connecting without the need of wifi/3G/edge?

I'm excited about the feature because sometimes I want to play MP but no wifi connection is near me.

Thanks for anyone who has the time to clear this up for me.

if your on your touch and you don't have an internet connection, this won't work.

It sounds like they mean it's going to be a form of multiplayer. Your just connecting to another persons Itouch or Iphone through the internet, allowing you to play games together, or trade items and stuff.

P2P is for the iPhone through Bluetooth connnectivity. It's like connecting two phones files via Bluetooth.

Indeed, and if the description is correct, it sounds like 2 iphones (or more) could connect together without the need of any Wifi or Internet (if they are close enough).

Does that mean that it's similar to game sharing? That would be insane!

No game sharing. Game pairing yes. Easier multiplayer connectivity without having to connect to a network.

I was wondering. Would the 1st Gen iPhone be able to connect peer-to-peer using bluetooth?

No you n00bs, there is a built-in Bluetooth chip in the iPod Touch, it's just not unlocked yet. P2P is huge, you can transfer streaming music and video files from iPhone to iPhone!
And you don't need a WiFi network to play multiplayer anymore.
