Windows 8

    Windows 8 released this past week, seems like a revolution of Microsoft's software direction towards a more unified platform, a la Apple. Feel free to post impressions and opinions about it.

    Haven't used it but I can see just by the images I don't like the tiles I'd rather have the normal windows start anyday. I'll be keeping to Windows 7 personally.

    That's actually what puts me off the surface as well I think it's great looking hardware but those tiles just look so stupid I wouldn't enjoy using it.

    Iv been pleasantly surprised with the experience, there were some minor issues with software that was conflicting with it after the upgrade, but I was pretty much over the learning curve in an hour.

    Its got the windows 7 feel there, but with a totally new frontend, however, if you look far enough there is plenty of thing's that scream Windows as we used to know it, like the control panel.
