The graphics in the new AA are not upscaled, they are redone for the new resolution so you will see more detail in the same screen size of 3,5". ~Like this More infos follow.
My sample is a zoomed view (upscaled 2x). It looks good on a standard iPhone. It´s just a rough example what happens to the standard graphics when they are upscaled vs. pixel perfect. The new iPhone has a high resolution display and is capable of showing more details at the same optical size of the display
There is no ipad version. That is where it looks like the double pixel art. High res art would be most apparent there. On the new iPhone it will still look sharp even with the current version because the size says the same. Do you guys plan to make an improved iPad version? Does releasing an iPhone 4 version lead to iPad looking sharp when pixel doubled? I'm so confused about what impact the high res iPhone 4 will have on iPad. -Greg
An iPad version is is in the works. We will use its hi-res art for iPhone 4,too but with a different control layout. The hi-res art benefits mostly from a larger screen, but even on iPhone 4 (small screen) you will see much more details. It´s like looking on a paper sheet instead of a display. Just compare a drawing app with real drawings on paper. You will see the fine details around a line on the real thing. The iPhone 4 retina screen fits the resolution of the human eye (10" distance required).
confused is it for iphone? cos it seems to be ipad? anyway this game will be only for 3gs and 4? the new Generation for our device
Will you be offering a lower price to those of us who've already purchased the existing iPhone version (i.e. as an in-app purchase)?
