What iphone game has the best story? What I want to know is, is there an iphone game that has a story that really draws you in, one that kind of makes you feel what the main character feels, like a good book? If not, what iphone game do you think is the best based on storyline? Thanks
Thanks, I was just getting a little tired of playing games with shallow boring storylines, and thought it would be great to play a game with a really engaging storyline.
iTunes put together a "Gripping Stories" list. Here it is: - Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars - Chaos Rings - Monkey Island 2 Special Edition: LeChuck's Revenge - Broken Swords: Director's Cut - Hector: Badge of Courage Ep1 - Zenonia 2 - The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition - Final Fantasy I - Final Fantasy II - Hills and Rivers Remain - 1112 episode 01 - 1112 episode 02 - Puzzle Quest: Chapter 1 & 2 - The War of Eustrath - SONG SUMMONER: the Unsung Heroes - Encore - Hybrid: Eternal Whisper - Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Beneath a Steel Sky: Remastered - Ravensword: The Fallen King - Shining Force - Across Age - Zenonia - Myst - Fallen Ep1 - Bar Oasis - Dracula: the Path of the Dragon - Part 1 - Jule's Verne Return to Mysterious Island
Monkey Island 1 already had a sale a while back. I think it was 50% off... Anyhow, that's when I got it. Should be seeing a Monkey Island 2 sale in the coming months hopefully.
I don't play a lot of story-driven iPhone games, but I would say Phoenix Wright is the best. Monkey Island is the second best, though.
Nice list I'm not agree with all but well that's not the point. For those missing I only see those additional candidates: - Stranded: Mysteries of Time - Jim & Frank Mysteries - The Blood River Files - Knights of the Phantom Castle - Undercroft - Underworlds - Rogue Planet - Elven Chronicles - Crusader Destiny - Defender Chronicles For me very few video games have a story quality that worth a good book. But the game context make less good stories or stories with a less good story telling more pleasant than if it was a book. Anyway my votes among those I played: Dracula the Path of the Dragon: Don't stick to part 1, the story get power as it progress. A story with the quality of a fairly good book, which means for me not far from few top stories in video games. Myst: The story worth for its global mystery mood, and how the story is build is rather uncommon. Stranded: Mysteries of Time: A story bit bellow the average for a book but the story grab the attention. Mushroom Age: The story isn't really good but there's nice simple humor plus it makes you wonder what will be the next gentle delirium. Laura Jones and the Gates of Good and Evil: Also not really a good story but it grab my attention and curiosity, make you expect what follow and that's cool even if sometimes some story evolutions aren't fully satisfying. Jim & Frank Mysteries - The Blood River Files: It's a bet I'm doing because I played only the beginning. It's not as well written than Professor Layton but a bit like it, the story (or its beginning) succeed capture a mood of mystery and is a bit intriguing, enough to catch the attention and curiosity. Knights of the Phantom Castle: Again it's a bet because I only played the first part. It's not really that the story is good, it's that the story telling is uncommon and quite pleasant for the change. The story is build through successive reports of missions and descriptions of missions, also the monsters book take a little part by giving few background elements.
