We're approaching the end of development for our latest iOS game, Meow Meow Happy Fight, so thought we'd give the Touch Arcade readers an exclusive first look!

It's a Dual-Stick shooter, but quite different to anything else on the App Store! We'll update this post with more details soon. In the meantime check out the teaser trailer below.

If an innovative dual-stick shooter with tons of randomization and a Survival Mode, I'm all over it!

Sorry, we've just come to the end of our beta testing period. We're aiming for a launch date of around the 3rd or 4th week of July, so hopefully you won't have too long to wait.

We've just finished a teaser video though, which I've added to the post :)

I love the Piyo Piyo references as well as hinting about some Super Plumber w/ mushrooms. ;)

    VERY well spotted LordGek :)

We've hidden quite a few references to classic (and some not so classic!) games in there, but you'll have to wait for the launch to discover them all...

Just curious, while this may have been explained to death by you guys on other threads, any particular reason why you guys, a UK based company, seem to make games with such a Retro Japanese vibe?

Cat Ball is the most epic character. I should've known this was made by you funky people who did Piyo Blocks. This has shot to the top of my can't wait list.

EDIT@ LordGek... Probably cause Japan, Freaking rocks.

I guess we all grew up in an era where a lot of weird (but great!) games were released in Japan, but never made it to the US or Europe, as they were deemed too strange, or publishers thought the US or Europeans markets wouldn't "get" them. We like to take our own ideas and add a little bit of Japanese style, and try and bring it to a larger audience.

That, and our Art Director loves sushi!

Not yet iVaro, we're still bug fixing and polishing it up, but shouldn't be too long now.
