I would say yes.. the wings saved me a few times from falling. But thats the first thing I bought because I don't earn much coins per run, so there could be better items. Still don't know what "1 warp before level 2" means
Finally got the Mermaid. Really does make a big difference in terms of collecting coins (killing the enemies far enough in advance). It also helps a lot to do damage to that building/face/eyes boss. But still can only get it down to like 1/3 health left on the 2nd part of the battle (the eyes). Annoys me when it automatically switches to running away. I want to kill that damn thing! Don't think it's helped me too much getting further since most of my deaths are still from falling (particularly in the skinny ledge/worm section). Will get the 3rd wing upgrade next.
Quick jumps with wing upgrades will get you over the train. That's why there is normally pick ups up there. Edit: More specifically, two upgrade jump from the closest building on the left. You can Just make the landing. Three upgrades would make it easy.
Yup. Wings are a priority here. Then extra lives. The warps enable warp "runes" so show on random areas on the map segments. What they do is they let you skip the current segment and take you right before the next boss. "1 Warp before L2" means the warp will exist right before the first boss, which takes you to the second segment.
Okay thanks, bought the "1 warp before level 2" and it helps to get a higher score. Now the game gets interesting, finally
Found a strange bug. Was playing with the mermaid (whatever her name is) and the electrical charges she was shooting all went backwards. I went from easy kills to not killing anything at all. Killed the app and restarted and it shot forward again, but just thought that was odd. Also have to mention that I've had a few crashes since switching to the mermaid.
Using the mermaid (if you've unlocked her) seems to do the most damage and, of course, any grenades you may have. It's a tough boss though since you have to beat it twice in order to kill it. I've never had enough time, yet.
Actually don't have the mermaid yet... Is it possible to beat it with the first girl? Her name slips me at the moment...

You can beat it once for sure, just jump when it comes in closer and keep firing. As for it's second "life", I don't know. I've yet to cause even any significant damage to it.
Gold coins with skull is 50, killed enemy or individually placed coin with silver is normally 10...I think lol. When they are in a line, only 1.
