Thanks dreadnok, I don't remember you responding about the Beta tbh. I hope we can make you edit your sig at some point soon.
Yes! It's universal at 3GS or newer, same as before. Retina on phones. There are optimisations for every marque of device as we've spent a lot of time tweaking them all for a sweet spot of visuals vs frame rate.
Guys it's really bigger and better in every way possible plus cross-platform multiplayer with in-game friends list and matchmaking or private games.....universal build which allows you to play on your phone then continue your game on the iPad, tablet etc...everything works very smooth and there are a TON of maps for both single player skirmish and multiplayer with more coming later. It's a fantastic value and a great game with strong support from Rubicon.
I had dealt with Paul but had downloading issues (*^%#@$^&^ iPad) no matter as long as it comes out soon. And I guess we'll soon put my Sig statement to the test
Ah sorry, that was you was it? (I'm Paul btw) Seriously don't get why you couldn't download it, but it could be worse. Our friends over at Stainless just released a one gig app!
Retina = Yes Had a bit of a revelation here, the iPad (and 4S) versions will support Retina after all.
Very cool! Love the graphics style, looks like a lot of fun!!! need any beta testers for new ipad or 4s?
We did, but we're beyond that now, thanks. We would've already submitted according to plan, but the new uber-res art is taking a bit of time. Certainly within days now.
Yep, $2.99 There are some *optional* extra iap's too, chiefly for more multiplayer maps. These map packs will have their contents expanded in the future without extra charge too. We're trying real hard to give good value for money whilst at the same time staying afloat.
Wow! You sure you aren't selling yourself a little short, there? Have you studied the psychological hurdles associated with getting someone to press "buy" at the different price points? I'd have assumed you'd price this at $4.99. You've done a lot of work from the looks of it, and built up a large fanbase.
We did indeed do that study. For a while, the price of the current game went up and down like a fiddlers elbow and we were worried we'd get complaints about it. Thankfully we didn't. When it was a fiver, our income remained stunningly similar to the three dollar level, but of course we had less buyers, so all we got from that was a lower chart position. When we went the other way and charged a dollar, sales went up but not by triple. I'm hoping that more people go "wow, bargain!" this time and snap it up tbh as there's certainly a shedload more content in this game - and its not like the current one is empty!
