It's purely an opinion without any information as to why it is bad, but it degrades the game nonetheless, that those who may like it never get the chance to play it because of this. Once you get used to the controls it's a good game. It isnt great, but it is good, and should be worth even the original asking price. I dont know why the devs are "holding on to it" but the controls need to change if they want a majority of thumbs-ups from the masses. Mention the issues you have (from what I've read, controls more than anything) rather than making a blanket statement. After all, there are games which sell for more which are truly pure crap. I bought Wizorb today despite my reservations. Only played it for a few minutes, but the controls seemed alright...certainly not deal-breaking bad. My main issue was with the health system, it was geared towards purchasing IAP and then if you did save enough for the infinite health cards it made the game feel lazy. You can avoid IAP fairly easily if you get the right upgrade path, but I'd imagine there would have been a fair amount of people who got to a point where they had no hope without it or faced starting over. Both of the ones I use which give me advance notice are German (don't worry, text, except for the help page in one of them, is English or whatever you choose). Appticker Push and Appzap Pro. Both have free versions: Appticker and Appzap. It doesn't matter that I have the appstore country set to USA either. ninjackid Well-Known Member May 27, 2010 9,380 2 38 #14 ninjackid, Dec 16, 2012 LOL You guys! xD Well, originally I put C in there for my first initial, but then I started reading it as ninJACKid, so whichever you guys prefer is fine, lol! Exact-Psience Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2012 22,664 2 38 The Work-At-Home Guy Philippines #17 Exact-Psience, Dec 16, 2012 More than worth it. As i mentioned on the main thread, the controls arent perfect, but they work if you try. They arent bad, just too unorthodox. As for gameplay, it is pretty good. Pretty much the only thing holding this one back from being a great title is the controls, but again, they work, they just arent what were used to. defred34 Well-Known Member Aug 27, 2012 1,408 0 0 Earth #18 defred34, Dec 16, 2012 Nah, not so bad. I've seen much more worse game for free! Bladeslinger's biggest problem, on a personal basis, is that it is among the games that have failed to live up to my expectations the most. The others are Dead Trigger, Wild Blood and Renaissance Blood THD (Android-only). In Bladeslinger, there is an evident push towards IAPs. A control scheme that is unconventional (you get used to it but always feel the "normal" controls with swipe gestures to attach would have worked better). The game is also fun, but by the time you hit the 6th chapter, it feels soooo repetitive and un-fun. The game has a unique playtime of 150 minutes at the most. I feel no inclination to play at higher difficulty levels. For $0.99, you should get it anyways. You get the one playthrough. And wesome graphics too! But you always feel that the game was destined for greater things, but was in the wrong hands. Curious which you guys would buy for a buck between Batman and Bladeslinger? I'll probably buy it regardless as I do for all pretty good apps for a buck, unless I see a lot more negative comments before tomorrow. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
