Due to character limit, I was forced to start a new thread in order to update the list. Here is that thread: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?p=619045#post619045 Thanks
Atleast re arrange the list alphabetically. I thought you didnt have eliminate in this list as I counldnt see it. Had to search through the page to make sure it was there.
Wheeler's Treasure? Cliffed? Also: Defender Chronicles or Skee Ball and Cooking Dash was more fun to me than Sally's Spa and maybe only choose one Rolando to make room for something else? Oh yeah what about either Galcon?
I would subtract Rope n Fly 2 and sub something like Parachute Panic or Scoops would fill the same casual game spot. Both of those have inspired tons of love over a vastly longer period of time then RnF 2.
Adding hook champ to the main list and parachute paniac, boost 3D and scoops to the honorable mentions. edit: Star Hogs and Defender Cronicles as well. Keep the suggestions coming! Oh and the list doesn't need to be exactly 50
+ Tyrian, Bounce On, Galcon, Trace, Gomi, Space Ninja, SIIG, The Quest, Eliss, Papijump - One of the NFL games; do we need two of them? Maybe drop geoDefense and Rolando 1 as well, since they're already represented. Or squish them into one line: geoDefense (1, Swarm, 2).
Nice list but totally subjective since some people do not find all those games to be must haves at all. I personally feel some of the games on the list to be boring, over hyped and not fun to play such as Minigore and Rolando. In general though, nice list
I tried to put atleast one game that appealed to a typical person (geo defense TD genre minigore dual stick etc) Zeonia and modern combat will be added to the list. Wolfensteins already on there. I wasent too crazy about the rpg game though.
I agree it is nothing more than subjective as I do not believe rope n' fly 2 should be up there (if any it should be the first as it was much more sucessful) or charmed, NBA Live(too relatively new), champion archer as I wouldn't consider them "classics"... One plain example of it being subjective is compare fieldrunners and rope n' fly, that's all I have to say about that. Nonetheless good work compiling the list(though severely lacking) like candy mentioned but it is nothing more of a favorites list seeing as you have the final approval. Note: If you want to check out some real classics check out Ian's(eenmachine) sig for the link of appstore classics
True, but what you say is only half true. I like to think of myself as unbiased; this list was created by how good a game it is, not by hype or number of downloads. Charmed, for example, while it isent my type of game, I believe sets the bar for it's genre, and thus owns a place on the list. Obviously I'm not saying everybody has to download every game on this list, but I would encourage them to atleast check them out; play some of the lite versions, etc to see if they like the game before jumping to conclusions.
You should also change the title to iPhone games and not apps in general. I thought the list included apps too!
