Hello fellow TA members. So in the last 3 months I hadn't been able to play ios games or check the forums as much as I would've wanted.I've checked but I didn't notice any good platformers, did I miss something? Thanks
Not technically new, but I'd recommend 14px and Penumbear if you don't have those already. The Honeycomb is a very well done puzzle platformer. Galaxy Run is a one-tap platformer with a ton of content and new mechanics every chapter
Cally's Caves Apple Dash (renamed Apple Bob) Legend-Dary Super Splatform I Am Level Dracula Twins Steam Punks Freedom Fall Super Lemonade Factory Pt. 2 Jack 'n Jill Kid Tripp Brick Roll Prehistorik Edit: Urp! (Released a few days ago) is also worth mentioning.
Urp! Super splatform- I am enjoying this game, but it's very similar to beans quest, but beans is better and more levels, I would recommend beans if you haven't already got it, but if you do, get super splatform.
Thats not a platformer, its a runner. (Good game though) A game where you have left/right/jump buttons is essentially a platformer. Platformers have been around since the late 0's (Miner 2049er) and over the years have had many famous games such as Manic Miner/Sonic/Mario Land and so on. Lately lots of people keep calling their games a platformer when its essentially a runner (Frustrating for us oldies who love 'proper' platformers !)
Are you seriously saying Granny Smith is not a platfomer? You may move move forward automatically, but it's definitely a platformer. Temple Run, Canabalt, those are runners. A game where you timing jumps, taking alternate routes, learning the levels to improve your performance and times, I'd call Granny Smith a platfomer
