Yes, THE PAINKILLER it seems. http://wireless.ign.com/articles/113/1131309p1.html by MachineWorks Northwest, the ones who fragged the Duke Nukem iTouch version. I hope they do better with this one. There is no info on their homepage yet. I loved the PC version!
Hope they've learned how to design decent touchscreen controls. This does look cool, and I like the idea of new levels coming in as free updates.
Hell yes! After the near-insult of Evil Dead, this is good news. Loved Painkiller on the PC, so it'll be awesome to see how it translates to the little screen. I'd hope they could make it universal, or make an iPad version at least.
Dunno whether these are early Painkiller Level demo's but seems like they might be.Found on Youtube and googled names and came up with Painkiller,so probably. If not, apologies [hqyoutube]c07jlf9tZQk[/hqyoutube] [hqyoutube]x9BUfEcUMoM[/hqyoutube]
Damn, that really is Painkiller. I don't recognize most of the first video except at the end (big boss fight happens there) but I recognize the Atrium level; it's definitely the same layout as the original Painkiller, but it looks scaled down to iPhone-capable levels, so I'm betting those are the real deal. Awesome.
I'll say this: If the coming iPhone version is the same as the iPad version, save your money. The iPad version is crap.
If they get the game runnin with those environments, it'll be amazing. I hope these guys don't notch the controls though.
