Game Impressions On first launch, you have to download several hundred MB of assets which takes about 10 minutes. Then you are forced to choose a username for some reason that is never explained. Your username must be unique from anyone else who has ever played the game. You type in a username and then have to check if it has already been used by someone else, which it often has. You will likely repeat this process and be denied a user name several times until you finally get frustrated and just type in some random string of characters in hopes that it is unique. Because you are never told why you have to choose a username, it is not clear if the random string of characters you typed in is something you should remember for later. Anyway, if you are lucky enough to find a unique name, then you have to view several screens of a long and visually busy tutorial of how the in-app purchase economics system works for upgrading players and other things. The tutorial is very poorly written and essentially incomprehensible. It appears to be written by someone who barely speaks English. Swiping through the tutorial is jaggy and requires multiple swipes per screen when it should only take one smooth swipe. Once you finally get through the tutorial, you are then repeatedly presented with various offers to buy tokens or stars or whatever the virtual currency is in the game. If you decline to buy an offer, you are then shown a screen asking if you are really sure you do not want to buy it. This occurs for several offers. By this point, you've wasted about 30 minutes and have not yet played any baseball. Once you finally get to the main menu, the entire menu system is confusing, and is is not clear how to actually play a game of baseball. At this point, I was fed up and closed and deleted the app.
Yup. Exactly my experience. Instead I downloaded iOOTP 2014 and RBI Baseball 2014. Didn't have any of those problems with those two games. Looking forward to this new season's versions. As for MLB Perfect Inning... The size of the app and the free-2-play confusing mechanics made it not worth the space or time. And it's too bad, too. I would've paid a large premium price for the actual gameplay otherwise. It really did look great and played okay. But won't touch it again unless they remove the confusing and obtrusive mechanics.

Played this game for a year. Gave it 5/5 stars. Then came this terrible, horrible update. I give it 0/5 stars and deleted the game and am playing other baseball games. I used to only bat and enjoyed it until they took that option away from me and now in season mode you have to use tickets which you must pay for with real money if you don't have enough and you can't just bat. I probably would have sunk more $$$ into it if they didn't chuck out my season batting mode only option but now it's on the IT scrap heap as a piece of iOS junk deleted and forgotten for good. Bring back optional batting in season mode like before without ticketing and I'm in again. Otherwise bye for good. I highly do not recommend this cash grabber any longer as they've killed what was the only fun in the game with a $$$ ticketing system. There are other true baseball games out now such as RBI.
