Link to Play Store How high of a score can you get in this retro style arcade game? So I wanted to make a small game that evoked a lot of the feelings and sensations I had when I was a kid walking through an arcade for the first time back in the paleolithic era (early 1980's). Rubbertron is what I came up with - it's a twin stick shooter similar in style to Robotron 2084, but for the graphics instead of literally recreating the 80's aesthetic I went for something super saturated and bright. It also features 2 awesome tracks by DST. Anyways, I'm happy with how it turned out. Give it a go and let me know how high you can score!
Somewhat related - are there any android high score/achievement services that you guys like as players? I'd love to integrate one, but I haven't found one that doesn't seem spammy/crappy. If you have things you like let me know! This game is way better when you're competing for a top score.
