So playing around with Earthworm Jim got me thinking recently that the iPhone has become a pretty cool platform to bring old games back to the public eye. So far we have the likes of: EW Jim, Wolf 3D, Duke, Flashback, Myst, Monkey Isl, Sonic, Worms, and probably a bunch of others I'm forgetting. So what other 90s (and 80s?) classics would you love to see on the iPhone? I'll start the list with a few that came to mind earlier today: - Prince of Persia (the 2D games) - Return to Zork - more Lucas Arts (ie: Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle, etc.) - Out of This World - Oddworld 1 & 2 - Blackthorne - 7th Guest - some Sierra titles (ie: King's Quest, Space Quest, Quest for Glory) - Crusader: No Remorse (and Crusader: No Regret) - X-Com
King's Quest ftmfw! I remember I got stuck in the catacobmbs in KQ6 without a guide and no clue where I was when I saved... I never completed it
I wish EPIC games studio would jump on the iPhone bandwagon and develop a mini gears of war! or mabye "Gears Golf" for the iPhone ya know... C'mon Cliffy B!
Lemmings--the father of RTS--and I mean of course the Amiga-only two-player mode with two mice hooked up to one Amiga Pure stress! Of course these days it would be even better: two devices, so you couldn't peek at the other player's split screen! (I wouldn't mind replaying the classic single-player campaign either.)
A couple of 90's games that I would like to see ported to the iphone are Stonekeep, 7th guest, and the 11th hour.
ah, yeah, I remember the catacombs. That was where you had to find the Minotaur, right? Yeah, that was a b_tch. I was lucky that I saved just outside of it, and I remember I had to write down all of the directions I had tried on a notepad just so I wouldn't repeat myself. Even then I was OCD. haha.
deception by tecmo, or atleast that's what i think it was called had plenty of strategies for the puzzle aspect with trap and all that jazz for the action
