So, Capes is in production right now. It's a 3D Superhero RPG, a la Elder Scrolls or Fallout, with a huge city to explore, classes to choose from and side quests, along with a story that changes depending on how the character interacts with it. Think Infamous but portable. Capes will be entering the beta testing stage very, very soon, so if anyone is interested they should post here. Also, if anyone has any suggestions as to class types etc. they should also post here. I will be posting more info, as well as screenshots as we near beta. It's a mishmash of everything because it's inspired by many different games. So, because of the overwhelming amount of interest, -There will be a 3rd person viewpoint -It will not be a gamelofted inFamous, so the combat system will be different -Four classes are planned, but the beta will include just one initially (a simple melee brawler) -The city is based on New York and will be at least half the size and will retain some landmarks -There is a conversation system -Those things that are really hard to collect and annoying, but are fun to put in the game (think blast shards) So far, it's really buggy, so don't expect the beta for at least a week (sad face)
I hope you're not bullshitting about making an Infamous type game for the iOS. Is it 1st or 3rd person? What powers do you have?
Keep the good news coming! Beta test? I'd to be part of it. - Range attacker (mage, hunter). - Melee combat (knight with single / dual weapon).
I LOVE these types of games! I would give 110 % to beta test this. I have many many free hours and would be dedicated to this game, if you were to pick me. I love RPGs, especially 3D RPGs.
I can't resist. Put me down as a beta tester! With superheros, the classes could be good Vs evil, or based on super-abilities, or based on alliances to particular super hero leaders (like super hero gangs). You could have RED, BLUE, GREEN super gangs. It's hard to make class suggestions at this point, without knowing more about the game and how far through the development process you are. Red1.
Giving players the option to modify their own superhero using a set of skills making the game unique to each player sounds like an awesome possibility. (Sort of like DC Online or City of Heroes). One player will want super jump and lightning, while another will want flying and telekenisis. With something that cool, you'd see a bunch of people posting screenshots of their own created villian or hero on here for bragging rights! The possibilities are wide open and I think you're on to something good here. I'd be interested.
I would definitely love to be a part of the beta too the Elder Scrolls and Fallout games are some of my all time faves.
Hello there! I would like to offer my help too. Maybe it is helpful that I can review your game from the female player side Love rolepaying games like Oblivion, Dragon Age 1, Fallout 3 too.
Count me in for beta testing! looks rad Will there be much character/costume customization? That would be sickk
