I'm going to start programming for the iPhone this summer and I since I'm waiting on getting my mac this summer I thought I would get a head start on learning for to program in C (any kind). What I'm wondering is what kind of C is the most easy to learn at first (like for beginners). Also if you could point me to some links on leaning that king of C and free e-books that would be great! Thanks!

EDIT: I'm willing to spend the time to learn and some money (no more than 15$ for a book) and I have also programmed before in VB.NET
