Fantastic visuals... Looks really promising. However like all pre-production games there are a couple things id like to mention... For a heavy sword, that's some pitiful range all done in what looks like 3 frames. And the spin attack, that's it? Also, i'd personally prefer the B button as the Jump button. Customizable is better, of course. Will be following this.
The visuals give me a strong feeling of Scribblenauts, which is a very good thing. Like Exact-Psience here, I'll keep watch on this.
It seems to me that the parallax effect is backwards. Shouldn't the background scenery move by slower than the foreground or am I losing my mind?
Familiar premise and gameplay framework, nice art and I do like the palette chosen.. definitely going to follow this one.
I think it would be more fitting (with a title like 'Heavy Sword') for the sword to always be visible. Either have the sword resting on his shoulder or dragging on the ground. I like the art style so far.
This looks great. Jumpman is right. The heavy sword should be always there. Like the character cloud in final fantasy
@Exact-Psience Yes, the jump and attack buttons will be interchangeable, I still remember playing Jurassic park the chaos continues for SNES and the jump and shoot buttons feeling like they should be switched and it driving me crazy As for the sword, you get many different swords, with different range and powers, this video doesn't show the "HEAVY sword" @jumpman475 Dragging the sword could look cool, I'll play around with that idea Thanks for all the great feedback guys! More to come soon...

Just to be clear, I'm not bashing you for using GS... Beyond Dead is a great game... And with GS getting updated... I'm really hoping more developers that know how to use GS properly will start coming out of the woodwork. Was just interested if this was done in GameSalad as well... Or have you moved on to another game engine? Also wondering if the jump and attack buttons will be switchable... I'm use to having the jump on the right, with attack on the left... Not the other way around...
Beta testing? Hey, is there going to be a test flight beta for this game? Also, can you recommend some pixel art tutorials? I love the look of this game!
