Don't want to spoil anything, but after a specific cut scene when you meet someone, up pops an iTunes Store login. I cancel it, since I didn't try to purchase anything, then the game goes back to the title screen. There don't appear to be any IAPs in this game, but never seen a game prompt a login to the iTunes Store unless you were trying to purchase IAP. A little hesitant to actually login. This happen to anyone else or anyone know why a game (or app) would want a user to log into iTunes? EDIT: I decided to sign in then it wanted me to download their Big Fish Games app in order to unlock the rest of the game. I did download it, didn't see a way to unlock from the Big Fish App, but next time I launched this game it continued onward. So while it may be free, you have to download an additional app to really get the full game. Not that familiar with BF games, so maybe this is the norm. Coldar Well-Known Member Dec 26, 2008 2,458 5 38 Upstate NY/USA #9 Coldar, Aug 22, 2014 I've been into it a bit and haven't had any iTunes log-in popup show. But then I have the BF app already installed. Not sure if that's the reason for a no show on the log-in. I normally play without an internet connection so pop-ups to rate won't launch or any other annoyances but this game its been on a few times. What's the catch? pluto6 Well-Known Member Jun 21, 2009 5,837 2 38 Military #11 pluto6, Aug 23, 2014 No catch this time Cyg. They always do some advertising in their app, but otherwise it works just fine. Sometimes they will have some "pause" screens that want you to rate the app, but just play it in airplane mode and you won't be bothered. Coldar Well-Known Member Dec 26, 2008 2,458 5 38 Upstate NY/USA #12 Coldar, Aug 23, 2014 Why to catch a free game sillyboy. Get it for you know who Cyg, nice hint system and if stuck has a BF strategy guide/walk-through as well. secondtime Well-Known Member Oct 19, 2009 1,713 0 36 #13 secondtime, Aug 23, 2014 So in the past there hasn't been a catch. Looks like this time in order to continue playing after you've gotten part way into it, they want you to download the big fish games app (free)... So while free, there is a catch this time. The game has been fun, but then I like this genre... Silvers Well-Known Member May 18, 2014 107 0 0 #14 Silvers, Feb 17, 2015 Normally I write longer reviews, but this game sadly can't support one. Loosely based on the history of the Hope Diamond, this is a bog standard hidden object game with extremely high production values for its first half. The game starts with a ense scene, then flashes back to some days eArlier. Ironically, it's after the story catches up to the opening that the game runs out of steam. I'm not sure whether the team ran out of time, money or both, but the latter half really suffers. Puzzles become dull and pedestrian, hidden object scenes turn into illogical junk piles circa 2009, and item interactions are taken out at random from the big box of Adventure cliches. This is half a good game, so might be a reasonable purchase at half price. It has all the trimmings and extras out the wazoo... Just mind that step out of the train car. It's a doozy. For a second opinion, take a peek at All About Casual Games's review of the PC version. Though my taste in hidden object games usually matches theirs, they loved this one.
