Inspired by the Jules Verne classic novel – this is the biggest game yet for iPhone - 300MB of deluxe full screen visuals and fantastic adventures to be solved. Return to Mysterious Island follows Mina, a strong young woman alone on a round-the-world sailing expedition. Caught in a tremendous storm, she becomes stranded on the shores of a wild and apparently uninhabited island Your quest for Survival begins. RTMI is developed by Tetraedge, published by Chillingo
FYI the biggest game I have is Alternate Endings 444MB. I look forward to this game.. I played it on the PC. How much of the original will be included? Video of the Symbian version is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Itc5VDGMtkc [hqyoutube]Itc5VDGMtkc[/hqyoutube]
how high is the level of interaction? (every few pages a choice between two paths, or more like a text-based adventure)
Here is the PC walkthrough.. so I would guess a fair amount of interaction: http://www.gameboomers.com/wtcheats/pcRr/ReturnMysteriousIsland.htm
Looks interesting. A bit like Syberia actually. Could you give some more details on the gameplay / point of the game? What is it that you are supposed to do? Also those devs are porting Syberia to iPhone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Will you also be publishing?
It looks better than I thought it would. If they can smooth out the framerate and the forward movement...
WTF? Throughout that vid (although most clearly at the end) you can see a windows vista style window with the close, maximise and minimise icons at the top of the iPhone screen! I say its fake!
No, the raw footage is from the iphone, but the trailer itself was made in some Windows program (e.g. the "Point and Touch to Walk" captions). Someone must have slapped together this trailer quickly. No biggie.
Uh..no. Nothing like Lost. Via Domus also was a decent game. It did everything right, except the game length. How is this like Syberia? There are many other point and click prerendered games out there that better fits a comparison.
