If he doesn't give away promo codes, he cannot promote the game here. Posting here gives the game much better exposure than posting in the regular games forums, where it will be lost quickly among so many other threads. At least he didn't ask people to PM him for a code Ahiru Well-Known Member Oct 16, 2008 341 0 16 public servant nowhere near you! #12 Ahiru, Nov 21, 2009 dude... it's JIRBO... need i say more? mrbass Well-Known Member Oct 7, 2008 2,210 0 0 United States of America http://mrbass.org/iphone/bestgames #13 mrbass, Nov 21, 2009 You may have a point unfortunately this thread was originally posted in Games section. Must have been moved by a mod. ufogeek Well-Known Member Oct 13, 2009 220 0 0 #14 ufogeek, Nov 22, 2009 It is strange if this thread was moved here... there are many other threads in the Games forums that are giving out promo codes instead of having actual discussions. Anyway, still... I know it sounds crazy but some people will not download free games (thinking it is not good enough) but will gladly use a promo code (because well there are a limited number of promo codes!), so giving out promo codes still makes sense. Also to be fair to mumbojirbo, this particular game is a free full version game, not a lite/trial version. I would agree that it is crazy/naughty/nasty/inappropriate/disgusting/insertbadadjectivehere for developers to give away promo codes for lite versions of their full games. The best way to let them know is simply to give them 1-star in those cases, if you wish. hmnn... this thread could win the Guinness World Record for being "the promo code giveaway thread without "lurkers took them all" reply". Myrobotwillneverdie Well-Known Member Jan 14, 2009 487 2 0 SEPDX #15 Myrobotwillneverdie, Nov 22, 2009 wow..... This kind of thinking is killing the ratings process of the AppStore. Reviews of games/apps are supposed to based on the merits of the games themselves. Not the way the dev went about posting THEIR promocodes. Pretty soon you'll be telling people to leave 1-star reviews for all-sorts of stupid things. "I hate when games come out on sundays: 1-star", "people with brown eyes shouldn't be making games in the first place: 1-star", "ya know, I just woke up in a bad mood today: 1-star" Please think before you post.
