This better be free or it is taking advantage of religion. Will not be picking it up eitehr way because I'm not religious, but that's just me, the minority. Hope you're successful.
Gah! This is not in ANY FORM OR WAY a game! I mean, heck, Bible Trivia at least there is a GAME aspect to it. Apple needs to start bringing down the hammer on developers PURPOSEFULLY mis-categorizing their apps!
Gads! Just moments before I spotted this thread I was thinking what we need are a few mock app release threads to cheer things up! Beat me to it! Spinning Jesus! Wah-hoo!
Why not? Oh, and I'm gonna say even if it's not free it's not taking advatage of Christianity. It's called making a profit to support your app and future updates. Goodness people. Best of luck on the app!
hmm.. well, I suppose since the religious symbolism isn't done in a distasteful manner it will get a release, but this is a very fine line to be walking. Not that there's anything wrong with the App. It's just that using symbolism in an almost 'game show' type manner could rub some people the wrong way, and that ultimately might not be a risk Apple is looking to take on.
Its a game of life. What category do you suggest? I do not understand what 'thumpers' means. I hope it brings Jesus closer to your hearts. Its the revolution of the lord. I do not understand why they would not. The app is a light hearted way to spread the word of the lord. This is no a mock app. God bless you all
Life may be a game, but this is not a game. Most religious based apps can be found in Lifestyle or Entertainment, full texts like bible stuff would be found under Books of course. Hopefully you categorized it appropriately. Bible Thumpers might be a US specific term, generally meaning "Religious Nuts" who like to push their world-view and values on people who do not welcome them.
I don't know, considering how much religion has taken advantage of people for thousands of years, turnabout is fairplay. And I don't know how much conversion you'll be doing. Anyone d/ling this will most likely already be a believer, those of us who are atheist/agnostic/other religions wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.
#1 Name is very misleading, because it sounds like it's making fun of religion #2 Making money from contents of the Bible is purely wrong
Give me a break religion has been making money off the bible since it was written. If you believe that, then you must think every single book which uses the bible as its basis (check out and christian book store) is wrong as well. Not to mention all the publishers who sell bibles.
Just because they do it doesn't mean it's right, it's inevitable people try to make money out of everything like religion and education nowadays since everything's commercialized; it's still wrong, that's what I meant.
