I thought (though I may be wrong) I remembered hearing that the icade or a similar device works by sending keyboard inputs to the game it's being used with. I just bought this for my ipad mini: I'll have to check to see if the attachment worked, this TA app is all kinds of glitchy. Back to the topic at hand...is it possible either with a helper app or without one to control at least some games with this keyboard? It DOES have function keys specific to ios: a key to launch spotlight search; control the music player, access the dock, etc. And/or is it possible to fool apps into thinking this is a controller accessory? Any answers/advice/what-have-you would be appreciated.
http://mobotalks.com/ios-devices/turn-your-bluetooth-keyboard-into-a-game-controller-for-your-iphone-ios-devices/ I only looked at it briefly, but maybe this would help? I don't know about how controls would get mapped, though...
Of course CONNECTOR would have told me to spend the 80 bucks on an iCade setup, but some of us want something a bit more...productive
