Hi everyone! I'm Travis from the Touch Dimensions team, and I'd like to share a small preview of our upcoming strategy game Autumn Dynasty, which we've been working on for the past three years. We didn't have an iPad in 2009, so we started by developing the game on a touch-table. As a result, it's been fully designed from the ground up for touch controls: The battlefield takes place on a Chinese painting, and players paint their battle plans directly onto the map. Troop movement orders are drawn using brushstrokes and special abilities are activated with simple gestures. Features Full RTS experience: train, construct, research, fight! Paint battle plans directly onto the map! Grand story campaign! Internet and Bluetooth multiplayer! Use special abilities to turn the tide of battle! Beautiful, oriental-style painted maps! Thousands of soldiers fighting onscreen! Retina display ready for the New iPad! As we're drawing closer to launching the game, comments and feedback are very much appreciated! Nice game! What are the expected selling price for this? And whether is there a free-to-try version? -Hi Travis! Pirate from RP here ;D-
Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Finally had a chance to check out the game website. Looks awesome -- even for someone who is not a big RTS fan. I don't doubt that we'll see a TA feature on this soon.
It's been over a year since we had a decent "real" RTS on the iOS. Holy shit this looks good. Those features definitely sound promising. Looking forward to it. iPad-only though :[.
About how long would you estimate the single player campaign is for this? It looks really, really good ... the art style is wonderful!
As soon as I read "Autumn Dynasty", I was 99% certain the game was going to have classical Chinese influences. I'm not an RTS fan by any stretch of the imagination, but I was incredibly impressed by the trailer: lovely art-style, clean, crisp graphics and an extremely elegant UI that seems perfectly designed for tablets [touch-based]. I'm heartened to hear that the developers designed the game "from the ground up for touch controls". From reading reviews of other games, one of the biggest bugbears is lazy ports that treat the interface as a token gesture. Even though I normally do not play RTS - haven't played once since C&C back in the mid 90s - I'll keep an eye on this.
I watched several vids today on your YouTube channel and I'm really amazed at the artwork, quality of control and depth of this RTS. Looking forward to playing this soon!
I usually pass on RTS games, but I'm glad I clicked this and checked it out. Your game looks fantastic, I'm really looking forward to it.
