what a graphic EA is really serious for our idevice PSP killer hope jussssssssssssssssssssssssssssst not compressed i want about 400 mb
Wow, and all this time I was waiting of the Flash version. Hope it has great animation. And it's about time Tim Langdell met his bitter end.
Why isn't it in first person? That's why the Mirrors Edge was good . Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
Hell YEAH! I loooove the "EDGE" in that name. Did I hear Tim preparing his lawyer club to "defend" his non existent game "mirror edge"? I say, bring it u f-in douche bag! lets see you sue EA or convince Apple to remove an EA game name that already sold hundreds and thousands of copies.
That's still disappointing. I can just imagine using the accelerometer to turn left and right and just tapping to jump. Oh well.
I still want the 2D version to come out, the dev said a long time ago he actually considered it. Maybe they had doubts as to how well the iPhone could handle a real 3D game. But with MC being popular and Nova coming out that might put that issue to rest. First person games CAN work and WILL sell. Imagine a Nova type engine replacing it's foilage and neon corridors with JetCarStunts type palette design - isn't that Mirror's Edge? And those controls sound fine. Ah well, maybe another time. For now it's a side scroller that we hope is good.
I'd rather play a polished 2D game than a mediocre 3D game. A lot of 3D games seem to lack much depth and I'm glad this won't be one of them.
I wouldn't worry, if Tim Langdell had the balls to sue EA for 'Mirror's Edge', he would have done it quite a while ago. Anyway, SOOOO ecstatic that this is coming to the iPhone!!! I know it won't be nearly as good as it's console counterparts, but I LOVED the '360 version probably more than I should have, and I'm sure I'll enjoy it even if it is terrible almost to the extent of being unplayable.
Uhm, your average FOS could work quite well on an iPhone, but a quick-action-reflex-acrobatic-first-person game won't
