I'm having fun with it so far. It starts out a bit slow during the tutorial but it picks up once you hit the normal levels. The blank row threw me for a loop for a minute or two. It kind of has a mind sweeper feel to it but much better. It's a well polished game as well.

Lol, this is Picross alright. I don't mind an inspired game, it's been a while since I last touched my DS, and now being able to play the old game again is more than I could hope for. Do have to wonder if it looks a bit crammed on a phone though, I use iPad and it feels comfortable with the screen.
