Don't ask me why I was in the upcoming thread, I was just insanely bored. The graphics look awesome, but other than that... Unless I was using mines, there is a good chance on each race that I would have no hope of killing the boss. There are heaps of power ups for the car and weapons, but the game play never feels very different as you power up. The racing part of the game is adequate. There isn't really much strategy. You use a d-pad to steer, and there are no brakes or gas buttons. I found it was hard to tell where the tracks were going sometimes, so I turned the wrong way. There are 5 tracks, but they are played forward and backwards and rotated around. At the end of the game, I was just playing the same track each time, since it helps to know the layout of the track by heart. The power ups keep you playing, since you are always unlocking things. The cars show damage during the race, and afterwards in the garage, which is pretty cool. I found it a lot more fun than reckless racing. Overall, it is very polished, but the game play is just ok, not spectacular. I bought this earlier today, and then played it for 4 hours, until I got all the power ups and beat the last boss, so I feel like I have got my monies worth. backtothis im in ur base killin ur d00dz Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze Jul 13, 2009 13,250 1 0 college student (junior) Houston/Austin, TX https://twitter.com/back2this #19 backtothis, Mar 30, 2011 Thanks for the inpressions! So in that case, I'm glad to here that there isn't a demolition derby mode yet Will be anxious to hear more feedback and keep it in mind if I ever have enough money to upgrade.
