    Hi all,

check out the trailer for our upcoming game, TRAXION:

TRAXION is a sci-fi themed cave flyer in the tradition of games such as "Thrust", "Oids" or "Gravity Crash".

In the game, you take the role of a daring starship pilot, embarking on a series of break-neck mission in outer space. You must navigate your ship through the caves of dangerous alien planets and find the valuable crystals hidden within. These you must tow back to the surface using your ship's tractor beam. This isn't easy because enemy patrol ships and all kinds of hostile alien creatures are after you.

What makes this game cooler than other titles of this genre, is that we use physics everywhere in the game. Gravity (and also anti-gravity) is of course a key element, but on top of that all objects in the game world are also completely subject to physics. This allows us to create all kinds of interesting situations and challenges. Every level has a certain puzzle in it that you must solve, and most of them are based around physics.

As you explore the alien environments and vast cave systems, you will find all kinds of contraptions, such as switches, explosive charges, forcefields and various pieces of alien machinery that you can use to your advantage.

Each planet also has a rather terrifying boss fight at the end.

The controls are designed to be as simple and intuitive as possible. Use one finger to navigate your ship, and a second finger to control the laser gun. It all feels very natural; there are no on-screen buttons to get in the way.

We hope to have the game out shortly. Mac and iOS versions will be first, followed by Android and later Windows/WinMobile. There was also a Nintendo DS version planned but that has been discontinued.

Please let us know your comments!

    Thanks,

Wow. That trailer looks rather rad. Certainly will be keeping an eye on it :)

From what you've described of the controls, it sounds like it's going to work really well on device.
