I'm have a hard time figuring out what direction a merged tile will move at though. Is it determined by the highest number or something else? The same goes for the new position of a merged tile when merging to tiles that is adjacent to each other. I also wonder about the enemy movement. Is it predictable or random? I know you can see their next move by not lifting your finger when swiping but I would like to predict the movement several moves ahead. Pedroapan KeitGames Well-Known Member Apr 6, 2012 105 0 0 Indie Games Developer United States http://www.keitgames.com/ #4 KeitGames, Apr 2, 2015 Enemies move toward the center, and yes they have a predictable pattern. When you say "predict several moves ahead of time", that means you're already playing at a high level and the grey squares should help with that --Although note that the grey squares are being removed in the next update. As for the merged-unit movement, yes it's based on whichever unit had the higher value. I'm glad you're enjoying the game though! There's an update I submitted a few hours ago which includes: Portrait mode to make those phone play sessions better An improved tutorial to help explain things better A secret unit type (because it's awesome) And more... If you have any other questions or comments about the game, do let me know. I started off being super awful at it, but it's so addictive I kept trying and trying, and now I am pleased to say I suck somewhat less than I did when I started, lol! The graphics are crisp and attractive, and movement is smooth--these are qualities that are hugely important to me, so I'm always glad whenever I find another game that fits the bill. I just can't get enough of elegant little puzzlers, and Cubic! is now added to my list of games that feed my puzzle jones. One of the color options I want to get in (sort of) early on is Colorblind mode... where instead of Red/Green, it's maybe Blue/Yellow? I know playing League of Legends I would have that mode on even though I'm not colorblind. I'd only have it on because I thought it looked cooler haha But ya... Do you have any suggestions off the top of your head? -Alex Valentia Well-Known Member Patreon Gold Jan 20, 2009 618 1 18 Female Retired! California #11 Valentia, Apr 3, 2015 An iPad Air 2. So you can def appreciate the art on that device But ya, once the Portrait-mode update goes live, you'll probably love the iPhone version just as much haha Pedroapan Well-Known Member Aug 25, 2010 313 0 16 #13 Pedroapan, Apr 3, 2015 Hi again Keit! Thanks for the answers about merging. This game actually grows on you. Hopefully more people will pick it up. There is only four of us on the leaderboards. It looks like the leaderboard for turns is broken. There are no results there. I think I read somewhere that the goal was to reach 100 turns but nothing happens when you do that. Any plans for GC achievements? Great game and great idea! Is this your own idea or did you find it somewhere else? Pedroapan KeitGames Well-Known Member Apr 6, 2012 105 0 0 Indie Games Developer United States http://www.keitgames.com/ #14 KeitGames, Apr 3, 2015 The Turns leaderboard was created with the upcoming update, so unfortunately no scores will be submitted to that board until then :/ And if you've gotten to 100 turns, the update will show you the secret unit As for achievements, I haven't really thought of it as the game doesn't really lend itself to that playstyle. Although as time goes on, maybe there could be different achievements regarding different game modes, color themes, etc. vectorarchitekt Well-Known Member Dec 29, 2013 2,481 171 63 #15 vectorarchitekt, Apr 3, 2015 Well, I guess Lettercraft or Letter Press had great options...not to try and make your game like any others. For example, the player's cubes are solid and the opponent cubes are striped or marked with "x" or something. I think that would work well.
