Tonight I just finished my first full game. So excited that it's actually done that I couldn't wait 'til tomorrow (when there's more traffic) to share the news. And yeah, it is 100%. It's missing a few features (save and highscore to name a couple... well, the only two, hehe...) but I expect them to be added at launch, or at least a week or so after it. Anyways, let's focus on the game, huh? Description: “In the year 3024, a great interplanetary war broke out. Earth, running out of the last of their firepower, decided to create a self-replicating anti-matter mine that would create bombs at an exponential rate. They won the war, but never managed to dispose of the mines. Space was soon filled with a ridiculous amount of lethal little bubbles, people were dying, and that made civilizations upset. To remedy the aftereffects of their experiment, a team of pilots known as Galactic Shrapnel was assembled to safely control the explosions of the mines and rid the astro-belt of them. They do work. You’re in control of 4 differently colored spaceships, red, blue, green, and yellow. Pressing the button of the matching color rotates the ships clockwise, allowing you to redirect their path. Your mission is to collide with the mine also of the matching color causing it to explode. The explosion, if timed right, can cause a chain reaction wiping out the screen in a display matching that of a super nova. Detonate every single mine to move onto the next round. It’s harder than it sounds.” Questions, comments, concerns?
How ugly does this get? You should work on Lunar Smoke before making this! This sucks so badly. Really? Whats up with the ugly graphics. And those colors suck. Don't submit it, people are gonna give you bad reviews. Why'd you even announce it now? I think Apple is going to reject it cause its so bad. And whats up with the name? Celestial Shrapnel? HAHAH. Trust my advice. Just kidding
Thx Slapshot, and yeah, once I'm able to get the game on my iPod (sometime this week or early next I've been told), I'll post a video with some gameplay. And 3024 was just a random number that just came my head. Sure, sure. So much for a promo code.
Yeah, Lunar Smoke, while still chugging along, has become incredibly frustrating in a couple places. I decided to take a quick break and create a pick-up-and-play game I thought would be fun. I'll probably redo some of the graphics for this game for getting back to work on LS, though. Lunar Smoke is one of those long term projects that take a while, and I mean a while.
Congratulations Kamazar! Happy to see that more people are getting into development here at TouchArcade... it just means that there will be more people willing to help me out on some ideas, eh? Eh? That means PM me nao Kamazar.
Thanks, guys, and yeah, definitely re-doing some of the graphics. Pixelmator is so much easier to use.
Alright, hated the way the mines looked in the original screenshots. Redid them. Just... yeah. The game doesn't look as crappy as it did before. Cool.
