This is one of the best games on the App Store with glowing reviews left and right AND the people behind it aren't willing to give up on their game and support it like ****ing mad. I paid $2 for this and I'm damn proud of that. Seriously, why in the world isn't Squirmee getting the attention it deserves? y2kmp3 Well-Known Member Jun 25, 2010 1,784 3 38 #8 y2kmp3, Oct 29, 2011 I remembered reading many of the heartbreaking messages you wrote about the initial sales of this game. I am glad that you are able to persevere and work on this update. I think you are doing a marvelous job in making the decision to retweak many of the game's levels. I think an easier learning curve will give many players a greater chance to learn to appreciate your game. Well done! Synthesyze Well-Known Member Oct 16, 2011 154 0 0 #9 Synthesyze, Oct 29, 2011 I really don't care that's its free now, I'm proud to have spent my dollar on this near perfect puzzle came. It's just so damn creative and challenging; anybody that doesn't pick this near-perfect game up literally is missing out on something grand. No idea what AppSpy was smoking when they reviewed this game and only gave it a 3/5. Well, at least the REDUX version deserves a 5/5. Lavafish Studios Well-Known Member Jul 1, 2011 118 0 0 #10 Lavafish Studios, Oct 29, 2011 Wow! Thank you everyone for your support Some games make it, some games don't, we're proud of what we did with Squirmee AND we learned a lot from it. And we're taking everything we learned from Squirmee (game-wise and marketing-wise) and putting it into Zombie Bunnies (here's its thread). Squirmee may not have been a success but we really think Zombie Bunnies will be AND maybe with its success it'll help Squirmee get a little more attention Either way we're here to stay! metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,064 1,340 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #11 metalcasket, Oct 29, 2011 It may not have been a commercial success, but it's gotten universal acclaim and has certainly made fans out of us. In our eyes, Squirmee is a success. Lavafish Studios Well-Known Member Jul 1, 2011 118 0 0 #12 Lavafish Studios, Oct 30, 2011 You are very right, I meant financial success, but we too are very proud of it and consider it a great success because of everything we learned from it AND of course the fans that have come out to support it...which are awesome! The super duper celebration sale is NOW officially 100% over. The price should switch back to $1.99 soon...thanks! drach Well-Known Member Jan 4, 2009 515 0 16 #14 drach, Oct 30, 2011 Well, thanks for the giveaway! I got in on it. A few thoughts - this is a very entertaining puzzle game. However, as many have mentioned, it is quite difficult - even the redux version. For the masses, it may be a bit too difficult. Even the first level was harder for me to complete. When there is a steep learning curve, the masses cannot really get into the game. As such, sales may not be the best. For more experienced puzzle gamers, this is a treasure because it's not so brainless. It actually requires thinking. Best wishes on your continued sales for this game and your other endeavors. Lavafish Studios Well-Known Member Jul 1, 2011 118 0 0 #15 Lavafish Studios, Oct 30, 2011 Yup we totally agree. We've decided to keep Squirmee at it's level of difficulty because it has at least found a few die-hard fans as is. HOWEVER, our next game -- Zombie Bunnies -- is going to be a 100% accessible and fun arcade action game. It definitely will not have the challenge of Squirmee BUT it's going to be great fun AND for those that are hardcore into it, it will have a challenge level just for them foxmulderino Well-Known Member Dec 30, 2009 2,916 0 36 Student Italy #16 foxmulderino, Oct 30, 2011 Ok, from now I'm waiting for Zombie Bunnies...u all must know this eheh Lavafish Studios Well-Known Member Jul 1, 2011 118 0 0 #17 Lavafish Studios, Oct 30, 2011 Excellent!
