Agree with Mage Gauntlet and Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery as being two of the best. There are so many great pixel art games on the iOS though I don't know where to start. Here's a few, my faves in bold

    Cubed Rally Racer
    Electro Master
    Frogatto
    Hurdle Turtle

    Mos Speedrun
    Llamasoft games (all of them)
    League of Evil 1
    Pac Man CE
    Pew Pew 2
    Pixel Ranger
    Pix N Love Rush
    Hook Champ
    Rogue Runner
    Rocket Riot
    Super Bit Dash
    Super Crate Box
    Techno Kitten Adventure
    These Robotic Hearts of Mine
    Time Ducks
    Velocispider
    1-bit Ninja

Nothing touches Sword & Sworcery in the pixel art dept. 1-bit Ninja deserves a mention though.

This list is awesome!! I've come across 8-bit games a few days ago and got totally grabbed!!!
Tried Scorched monsters and Hurdle Turtle...but 8bit Ninja and sandbox look definitely amazing!

What about Neoteria? anyone tried it?
