Looks like Zenonia, SEED and Inotia 2 have company. http://www.slidetoplay.com/story/across-age-exclusive-preview
That's what I thought too, and it slightly lowered my interest in this game that the developers have to use huge and unnatural breast/cleavage to attract players; good thing she's only an NPC and not a playable character lol. otherwise the game looks very polished, a bit too similar to Zenonia though.
I find it amusing that a German company made a game in Japanese for a predominantly English-speaking customer base.
Why would a Japanese developer create a game in English? Aside from the fact their Japanese is much better than English obviously, there is a larger Japanese player base than German player base, therefore the original will be in Japanese. Then it will be translated to English, like every other RPG in the store.
Another RPG? Yes! Can't get enough of them, hopefully this one turns out to be really well thought out with an amazing story. Character design looks great as well.
Does that mean I win a promo code?? lol xD I guessed the gameplay... well I cant wait for this game seeing how much I like the mana series. (you guys should also put the mana series in the title, that will attract many)
*crosses fingers* Hopefully this will be the first RPG that I'll like for the iPod. Looks really nice.
Please note that these screenshots are *work in progress* A game that is always forgotten to mention together with the game: It has certain similarities with the Ys Series (known from the PC-Engine/TurboGrafx). When the game is finished I´ll dig through the thread and will choose 1 or more winners. Time Travelling and Action-RPG is a certain a win. Expect more screenshots and material from time to time as the development progresses.
I liked Ys for PSP, oh and I said like sword of mana with two characters, one a brawler, and one a mage, and gameplay kind of similar.
I for one cant wait for this and other announced rpgs to come out. We really need more solid titles to the genre and this looks like it could be a winner. I love the graphical style already so I hope it does not disappoint.
Yes, I remember that game too. Played it on my old b/w GameBoy when it was named "Final Fantasy Adventure" (originally Seiken Densetsu 1) and later on the GBA as SoM Anyway - I´m certain you´ll enjoy Across Age
Glad I am not the only one that had that picture lower their interest in the game. But if it is anywhere close to as good as crono trigger I will not be able to pass it up.
