Hi guys, Just wanted to drop a note about another game that we are working on.. Here is an early build video, showing ROTT running on iTouch. ROTT (wiki) is a first person shooter, which is a sequel to Wolfenstein3D. It's also using greatly improved W3D engine. There is going to be 4 main control schemes, using different combination of thumbsticks, swipes and tilt controls. The video above shows the 2 stick control scheme. The sticks also can be swapped, inverted (for up/down motion) and calibrated for sensitivity.
oh my god ...i have been trying to remember the name of this game...for over a decade. i remember playing this on the first computer i owned and having more fun with it than i had with any other fps at the time. the graphics were great, the maps were great, and the bloody gibs were freakin great. i even remember putting in a code to watch your rockets fly into an enemy in first person view whenever you deployed one...always satisfying. i missed this game, and i could never remember the name no matter how hard i tried. and now here it is, randomly, at 1 in the morning on this forum that i joined a half hour ago. and it's coming to the iphone store. i think i love you. ...now when is it coming out?! how much?! can i beta test somehow? i must have this!
This and duke nukem= heven I just found this for my iMac and was excited now I will be able to eat shrooms and blow people to bits on the go very cool
Wow, I remember this one from back in the day. Lanned it a few times, it wasn't quite Doom or Duke Nukem but it had a uniqueness all it's own. Going to be hard to resist on this format.
So. much. WANT. Between this and Duke3D, my classic FPS appetite is being fed very nicely, and that's looking mighty mighty sweet.
Please! Don't shoot! *BANG* Aaaagh! This game pushed Wolf 3D beyond it's logical extremes! My favorites: 1) Explosion near Priests' Porridge would turn it into Priests' Porridge Hot (worth more health) 2) In the level editor you set moving wall segments with arrow blocks (not visable in the game) so they could go back and forth or follow a loop. If you goofed and a wall moved off of the edge of the level boundary, the game would hang and give you the following screen:
Hope this has bluetooth/wifi deathmatch. If it has co-op.. THEN OMFG!!! I highly doubt it... But it would be awsome to be the first fps to have co-op o.o... Then again it might be hard so i highly doubt that. Anyways, i'm hoping to buy this game at 6-10 bucks, if you have sales, then it will probably be $3
Link from the original game. How close will the port be any new content? http://www.3drealms.com/rott/
I like Tyrian another great port by your company. So I have confidence that you will do a great job on this one. What will the intro price be? What other games do you have planned to port to the I-phone? Thanks, Rad
We are currently in talks with 3D Realms, the owner of the ROTT data files. We'll know more about the pricing once/if we reach the licensing agreement...
Not to dig this topic out from the grave, but I imagine the company must not have succeeded in getting the licensing agreement with 3d Realms? Was looking forward to this game from playing it many moons ago..any news at all?
sigh...you guys have no idea how badly i want this game to be released. i would at least like to know whether anything is going on with it at this point.
