In 1984 U.S. President Ronald Reagan declared the third Sunday in July to be National Ice Cream Day. Reagan recognized the popularity of ice cream in the United States and stated that this holiday should be observed with "appropriate ceremonies and activities." NimbleBit is celebrating this tasty and refreshing holiday on Sunday, July 19th by giving away their game "Scoops" (regular price $1.99) for FREE.

"Scoops" is a stacking game for all ages which puts you in control of a towering stack of ice cream scoops! "Scoops" has been featured by Apple in iTunes and retail stores and has been the #1 Kids game most of the time since the category's creation. Join the nearly 200,000 ice cream fans already playing Scoops and stack a cone to celebrate National Ice Cream Day.

Visit http://nimblebit.com/games/scoops for a gameplay video.

Scoops is available on iTunes at http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=291591378&mt=8.

NimbleBit is an independent game developer with over 1.5 million apps downloaded on the App Store. Also check out the thread for our just released game Moon Drop: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=18999

There is a Moon Festival Day that is celebrated by the Chinese community and falls on October 3 this year. Btw, I know because it's a big deal here in San Francisco.

    Ahem, actually I'm big...cough...in another way...cough.

Hey, I just got back from teh movies, and the previews show that in 2012 there is going to be a massive catastrophe, and most of the people are going to die anyways.... Probably won't have electricty, and so iDevices won't be of much use...:D

Scoops 2.1 with in-game tweet viewing has just been approved, App Store timing has actually worked out well for once! The price change might be showing up sooner rather than later...
