I love text based, managers. oooooomonkey Well-Known Member Jan 15, 2011 6,307 0 0 Forge World #5 oooooomonkey, Nov 4, 2013 Right here goes my impressions, I'm not to great at explaining things tho You start off by naming your person and product and choosing from a list of what kind of product you will be marketing and who your marketing to. You start off with just you as your only staff member and some money, you start off by assigning your guy to a tech job to start working on your product and you assign them to one of three different roles from features, stability and something else, And your progress bar goes up as your person is assigned to a task and you need at least 10 points of tech on a product before you release it, But before then you will want to hire a new member of staff to put on marketing your product, which works similar to tech where there's three positions of marketing to assign them to, to drum up customers before you release your product. You also have sales positions to assign your staff to. I'm not sure any of this is making sense and to be honest my advice probably isn't great as my first two business ventures only sold 44 items then went bust, But to me this feels very much like a text based game dev story and the people this appeals to will probably buy it anyway, It's deffinetly like game dev in the way you learn by doing as I'm slowly figuring out what I'm doing. Seems like there's a lot to do and see here, if your interested I'd say get it. TheRybka Well-Known Member Sep 19, 2013 68 0 0 #6 TheRybka, Nov 4, 2013 Looks interesting. I'm a little weary of dropping $3 on a text-based game, so I'm going to wait around for a price drop (or for more impressions; perhaps one will convince me to take the plunge). I am interested in eventually playing this game, however. sweetdiss Well-Known Member Jun 15, 2009 1,745 5 38 #7 sweetdiss, Nov 5, 2013 Is this game about Eli? : ) MonkeyChunks Well-Known Member Oct 27, 2012 78 0 6 #8 MonkeyChunks, Nov 5, 2013 Hope this game is making fun of hipsters cause they're lame. thetragicclown Member Patreon Silver Jun 19, 2013 8 0 0 #9 thetragicclown, Nov 5, 2013 I have a mustache like that. For example if an indie singer they adore gets a big break and becomes well known they turn their backs on him (for example the Lana Del Rey controversy, who turned out to be manufactured by some big label. All hipsters lost their shit over this fact) oooooomonkey Well-Known Member Jan 15, 2011 6,307 0 0 Forge World #15 oooooomonkey, Nov 5, 2013 One tip I'd give is when i started I was first doing tech ten moving to markets then sales, but it turns out you need to do marketing and sales together to generate sales. Spoiler If you max your advertising out on a marketer it won't charge you daily for the first round. When they're finished simply reasign the same task again and you can get the maximum effect for no money!Just keep an eye on it though as after the first one it begins to charge! oooooomonkey Well-Known Member Jan 15, 2011 6,307 0 0 Forge World #17 oooooomonkey, Nov 6, 2013 That's not right if you look the first round says "building" the campaign which is why it costs no money (because it's doing nothing), then when that bar is done it switches to running the campaign and that's when it starts charging you.
