Ah, cool. Love to support a good game such as that. (Sorry for my derailing of the thread!)

    Jim & Frank

Should count as point and click still, and are 2 great Layton-like games.

Also, a couple of my favorites that havent been mentioned yet:

    Stargate SG-1 ep1
    Back to the Future
    Yesterday

Seeing as there's no way to "point" or "click" on a touchscreen, and both those traditional mouse actions are covered by tapping, would this genre just be called "tap games"?

Year Walk. The 3 best hours I've spent on my iPad earlier this year.

Ghost Trick can be good if you don't despise all the dialogs we know so well from japanese games.

Thanks for The Silent Age, I never heard about it!

There are Lite versions for you to try as well. Don't waste your time on lesser games when you could be playing these!

I really enjoyed the first Hector game. I never beat it, nor even tried the sequels, but it was quite a silly game. Offensive silly, but if you have a slightly more twisted sense of humor than the average Joejane, give that a shot.

Monkey Island 2: Special Edition is supposed to be one of the greatest point-and-click games ever. The ten minutes I played make me feel it's because of the overwhelmingly hilarious sense of humor. It's so funny! Never got too far though :(

One game I did get far in was Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. It's not exactly a point-and-click game at the core, but it has a lot of that kind of stuff, and it's a thrilling experience. An almost perfect blend of humor, drama, suspense, and puzzles. So fun. <3
