I don't know, the devs didn't say anything about the update that was supposed to come out for months the forums are dead, full with spambots and 1 view, 0 reply threads about viagra and other crap.
I heard it will come to the psp but thats it. Anyone knows if there is still something coming out or something? I just find it bad style from the devs not announcing anything, not even posting on their own website, news or whatever.

Damn, that is awful. Hadn't been to the Fieldrunners forums for quite a while. It did get completely spammed out. I don't understand why they don't clean it up and lock down new registrations for a while or something... Spammers tried to hit my boards pretty hard for a while too but we managed to beat most of them down as soon as they appear.

As mentioned, all I know right now is one or two new maps from the PSP version will be available as DLC at 99 cents per level. Whether you think that is worthwhile or not is another story ;)

Off topic- I'm always looking for good spritework, John do you have any portfolio or gallery online? Maybe pixeljoint, deviantart, anything? PM me with a link so I can see what you can do :D

As far as I know they announced content updates before they announced the PSP levels, so people in the ratings on iTunes and on other forums are wondering what happened to it and are kind of angry (on youtube for example).
I then went to the forums and it looks like the devs abandoned them. :(

It is ridiculous they are charging money for the new maps, that isn't fair to the customers they promised content updates to. This is one of the best selling games on the app store and it has never been below 2.99. I doubt this game would sell for more than .99 if it was released today. Now if the game already had 6 or 7 maps I feel like dlc would be reasonable because it is already a complete game and those who really like the game can get more. But the truth is this game is incomplete and this update should be free

These guys abandoned the iPhone for over 6 months after promising new updates. They're not getting another dollar from me, ever.

If nothing else this has served as a valuable lesson in consumer education, in that you should be buying products based on what they are when you buy them instead of what they might become in the future. I'm really not sure how many more times people need to get up in arms over "promised updates" before figuring out that maybe they should just wait until the game has been updated to the point that they're happy with it before buying.

Oh don't misunderstand me, I knew what I was buying when I bought it. I bought this game when it was first announced, even with only one level for a high price. I didn't buy it with any expectation of something that wasn't promised.

The problem is, they did promise new levels, and then they chose not to deliver them. Now they're preparing a release for the PSP that is almost certainly doomed to fail, and we get the privilege of paying for the dregs of that release.

I would have been glad to pay for this DLC a long time ago, but I don't like the way they've treated us long-time customers, so I'm not going to give them any more money. I'm not telling anyone else not to, it is just a decision I have made ;)

Wow really? The debs should really think about being responsible for their app they make and announcing an update then just completely stop posting.

And yet it is listed in the new Games page on the App Store as the first of their Best Tower Defense games.
