Hello TA Forum Users, I got a 3GS in June, and ever since then, a lot of my attention has been focused on this device. It never ceases to amaze me how many cool (and cheap) apps and games are releaed seemingly on a weekly basis. I recently got the T-Pain app, and it BLEW my university friends away. That gave me an idea for a club which I wish to start at the university. I want to have an iDevice, or iPhone/Touch club. At meetings, the club members will show off cool apps which they have downloaded to the other members. We could potentially also have game tournaments, such as Tap Tap online or Bluetooth Multiplayer to give away iTunes cards and other prizes. Should I pursue starting this club? Do you think that this club will be popular? Would any of you join such a club? Discuss.
1) If someone doesn't respond to your thread when first posted, than it's pretty probable that no one ever will. Don't bump, it's annoying and unnecessary. 2) Pursue if you want to. 3) I doubt it'll be popular. Most people play iPhone games in short bursts and use their console for actual hardcore gaming. 4) I would not be caught dead in one of them.
And against the forum rules. Anyways, I think if you want to, go ahead and make it. It might be really popular or you might be the only member .
Well first, find alot of people who have iphones/ipod touches before you attempt to do this. But personally, i would never join one of these because to me, iphone games are ment to be played a little (with the exception of a few) then thats it. And i would be embarrassed to tell the people i know that im in one. i mean c'mon, i'd be embarrassed to tell my friends i come here If you really wanna do it, it should be secretive haha
You guys are haters. I would join. It sounds like a good idea. First I would make sure you know a couple of people who really do game on the iphone who would come to the meetings. Good luck and tell us what happens.
Sorry. I made this thread last night, and no one was responding. Why are all of you assuming this would be just about games? What about other practical applications as well? I understand this is a site about games, but games are just a fraction of the possibilities of the device.
Oh, yes! A club who's activities include testing out various GPS and unit converter apps! ... seriously, man? Practical apps aren't fun to begin with, they're just suppose to be useful.
haha just stopped laughing over that one for some reason, i can imagine all these geeks in a dorm room discussing that
