I was really excited by Eliminate, but it got old quickly: multiplayer in 3 min. bursts is just not fun. It actually turned out to be a huge disappointment for me. Is Modern Combat a more full, satisfying multiplayer experience?
Are you really that naive, or maybe you just didn't bother to read their respective thread. Anyway as of now Eliminate is the clear winner because MC online multiplayer doesn't work.
Agreed, can't really compare them until they're fixed. The fact that gameloft's said that this is a "beta" doesnt help thigns either. My bet is that NOVA and Eliminate will be a better comparison, mostly due to the fact that they'll use data from MC:S to further help the multiplayer for NOVA
I think even once it works the can't really be compared too much. Eleminate has no online coop and that makes it a totally different online experience. To me constant deathmatch gets old in a hurry, but some people can't get enough. Two different strokes for two different folks.
No co-op doesn't make it just different, it just makes it worse. More options = better game. The advantage Eliminate has, obviously, is the fact that it works and its polished. But I bet you when it does work, it will take the cake. btw put a poll up.
MC works for some (it works for me most of the time), and even at less than full strength it's better than Eliminate in every way IMO. Not even close. I think Eliminate is almost as overhyped as Minigore and Pocket God.
No don't have wifi anymore, or any internet at home for that matter... hence why I never got to give eliminate a shot. I do love me some death match, but would rather see what activision does.
I hear you about wifi...sporadic for me. Did you get Toon Warz? It's not the best, but it's cheap, and has a nice deathmatch over 3G and Edge.
WOW! OK, seriously? Did you guys even see what you wrote? Talk about immature...... Do we have 9 year olds on the forums now?
Sorry guys, had an hour long call with a client. Anyway I haven't tried toon warz yet, but a cell shaded FPS sounds sweet a la XIII.
Although I wish that MC had the better multiplayer, that's just not the case. Eliminate uses the quake3 engine, which is a rock solid piece of tech and the underpinning of so many AAA PC titles. Gamelofts first try has flopped hard. Edit: I just tried MC again, joined 5 different games, none of which worked. Either players are stuck in the middle of the map, or it's a ghost town, and the connection drops.
