Been playing the original Uniwar for over a year now; great TBS, definitely has one of the best online multiplayer on the App Store. Definitely recommend this if you're a strategy fan or have enjoyed the original Uniwar.
Nfld what do you mean best online multiplayer on the app store? Not long ago I was wanting to get into this but all my online matches last maybe 1 turn before opponents seemed to never show up again to play their turn again! Poor online Community in my experience. Not to say it's a bad game..it's a great game..but online my experience is not good.
When you first start out, yes, there are quite a few people that don't play. But as your ranking increases, there are quite a few active players around, that do make their moves on at least a daily basis. Also you can always check the chatroom if you're looking for a game. The chat is pretty active.
UniWar is a great game and I bought it when it was just out for iOS for $4.99, I believe that was the price. So in the Android Market, your notes is that Android devices in June will get a free update to existing owners and will be the HD version of the app, which will be designed for phones and tablets. So why does the Android version get a free update to their app and not iOS? Why not do the same for iOS devices and have it as a universal app?
You're right I don't, but I just won't get the good HD content as free updates like Android users would. I would have to drop another $5 down, but of course if I was still in the Anroid world, I wouldn't have to Hmmm, i think someone should port over the first X-COM game to the iPhone and iPad. I know, totally unrelated to this topic, but it just popped in my head while typing this and it would be completely awesome
New Zealand . . . Does anyone know if this is out in New Zealand? I'm not sure if it's a time-zone-based release or not. If it's out in NZ now, we'll know that it will be out everywhere else on the 11th. I'm kinda thinking it'll be a Wednesday night/Thursday release, though.
Uniwar has been 99c for a while on the App Store, while the Android version has always been $4.99. So the devs are making it free for Android users since they already have paid the 5 bucks regardless, while some iPhone users may have gotten the app for free or 99c
It's 5$ people, that's a meal at McDonalds. I've never understood why everyone always complains that the AppStore prices are to high, but no one ever complains about spending 60$ every year for the same CoD.
