I'd like to buy a few more games that my son can play on my iPod Touch G2. So far he enjoyed playing Asphalt, Crash Bandicoot, Need For Speed, 4x4 Jam (he obviously likes racing games), Snail Mail, Wild West Pinbal, Touch Hockeyl and Real Football. Which games would you recommend to me? A good jump-and-run? He had fun playing Sonic on both his Nano and his DS but I heard it's not that good on the Touch. Some fun sports games? An adventure that's not too difficult? Is Pirates any good? Thanks, guys!
Get Real Racing its the best racer on the app-store. Aslo check out Baseball Slugger, Baseball Superstars 09, and Castle of Magic.
Real Racing Is too hard for kids IMO... It takes a while to get out of the Arcade racing style (what most of us are used to) and into Sim Racing.
I agree with Brazilian, its too hard so you should hold back (even though my 10 year old bro got to exotic cars in it ) Harbor Master, Baseball Slugger and Doodle Jump are good
Yes you are right it is way too hard for a kid like that. Maybe monster truck nitro or something like that.
I don't know why Sonic gets so much hate on the iDevice. I thought it was pretty great, but I didn't get any problems with slowdowns, and the controls were fine, really.
Got Spy Bot Chronicles in the IUGO contest yesterday, it's the best platformer I've played on the iPod Touch yet. Slotz Racer is also a much better racing game than I expected, and you guys might have a lot of fun playing it together (up to 4 on one device!) And I bet any 10 year old would get a kick out of Face Fighter!
Thank you all so much for your really helpful replies. I've now bought Archibald's Adventure, Spy Bot Chronicles and Castle of Magic. We already have Harbor Master but he hasn't played it yet. Yeah, I thought that Real Racing might be too difficult for him. I'm sorry I forgot to add that we're German so anything with words/text that's in English only won't work even though I personally love Bookworm and Pocket God.
You have better English than a handful of dolts born here I'd recommend Wordsworth, it's like bookworm but they have a German version.
