Hi. I use word 'Game' for this. Indeed, would someone pretend that Hoodoo Voodoo is more than just a game? See it by yourself if there _can_ be something that is more than a game - become a beta-tester to get time-limited preview of Hoodoo Voodoo. But wait - this is only a preview! The main secret (watch video!) will not be disclosed until app is in AppStore! Best regards! p.s. Just got rejection for this app from Apple review team... Can you believe it? p.p.s. Finally, Hoodoo Voodoo got approved, after more than 2 month and another 3 rejections from Apple team. So we announce introductory price for the title. Go get some Hoodoo Voodoo! >>>Hoodoo Voodoo (iTunes Link) <<<
Looks great! And I can think of a lot of uses for this on Twitter email sent! Ps: awesome icon! It's perfect!
I just can't beleive it! Just got rejection from Apple with the grounding of "some content which might be found objectionable for iPhone / iPod users". Gosh, there're no drop of blood at all, so what's so scary about it? Yes, I did mention 'some secrect which may make you sweat', but, it's only a game! Total frustration. p.s. Sorry for my emotions. p.p.s. Can you suggest some things which might be reworked so this would pass review? p.p.p.s. My condolences to BoiledGoose for rejection of his Ragdoll Killa!...
For which age should Hoodoo Voodoo be released? Perhaps setting it up will help? It couldn't be the farting, there's a multitude of fart apps... What I would love to see is: * possibility to turn the doll over to attack the back * No kill of the doll mode * healing mode to give something good to the doll
It's been rated 12+ for frequent cartoon violence and horror/fear themes and infrequent crude humor (farting etc.) Thanks for your suggestion - maybe indicating that there're some realistic violence will let it pass...
did they give anything more specific than the vague "some content message"? All I can think is to make the app 17+? I didn't see anything in there that was over the top to me, but I don't know about others' standards.
Wow, no blood and it still got rejected. Thanks for the condolences on Ragdoll Killa! Looks like we got the exact same email message for our apps - the dreaded Section 3.3.12 - "Apple's reasonable judgement." A lot of the feedback I got on Ragdoll Killa! was that maybe it was just too sadistic. You can cut open bad guys and spill their guts, but torturing an innocent ragdoll (or voodoo doll) is just too mean. I just finished a new version that changes the ragdoll from a human to an alien, removes most of the blood - the blood that remains is now green - and I removed "Killa" from the title. I plan to resubmit today so we'll see if these changes are enough for approval. It sucks because I had to remove a few things that I thought were pretty cool in the hopes of getting approved. (Head gushes and such) With Hoodoo Voodoo, there isn't blood, but it's an obvious representation of the person in your contacts list, so toning down the "implied hatred" is about the only way you can go with it. You could try to remove some of the harsher stuff and replace it with nice gestures, flowers and pretty things. That way it isn't *just* a torture app. This changes the tone of the game quite a bit, and it may lose sales because of it. On the other hand, the ability to play nice might attract people that would otherwise never even look at it. Good luck.
hmmmm look really cool hope u get it to pass maybe its the fact that you can name the doll before u beat it up? i dunno just a thought
thanks. I don't know either, there're plenty of Voodoos out there where one can even attach photo on the doll's face
