I voted for 6 but I meant to vote for 2, had a senior moment and got confused between the two images of the red guy. I definitely like him over the astronaut as I've never seen an icon like that whereas having an spaceman is slightly generic. Love the art style though, the guy in red is definitely going to be iconic! Has me interested in the game itself too!
Thanks for the help so far. Indeed, a unique looking and striking character is important for the app store, though I do also love many of the astronaut's poses...
Hi SpaceHat! Graphically, number 2 really stands out as super awesome. But I would question its use to represent the game as a whole. If it is just a background element in the game, even though beautiful, you may want to use an icon that will be more identifiable with the user experience of the gameplay. So for what it's worth, I went for number 3. That's the guy/lady I would be playing as, so that's the icon I would most likely remember and associate with your game. Great work, btw!

Thank you to everyone who took part. Tallying the above poll with replies on Reddit and Facebook... 2 still wins! Narrowly followed by 4. And fair enough, I also feel that those two are the most distinctive and interesting of the icons. So 2 it is, assuming no issues crop up with using it (ensuring it doesn't get lost when matched up against other icons for example - which is unlikely). Digidiam - Cheers!
