In collaboration with Fox Digital Entertainment, Chillingo today announced that sci-fi film Predators is getting an iPhone movie tie-in game. Handled by indie developer Angry Mob Games,(Makers of Guerrilla Bob) the game will throw players into the predator's world, giving the experience of a predator hunt. The film follows Royce, a mercenary tasked with leading a band of warriors against a new breed of Predators who are looking to put them on the dinner menu. There's no word yet on whether the iPhone game will follow the film's story, but it's bound to at least follow it vaguely. Predators will be released via the App Store some time before July 9th. Well... I'm speechless, when I was a kid growing up Total Recall and Predator were my favorite movies... needless to say it better be epic!
Yeah, those graphics look awesome - remind me a lot of diablo 2. Too bad it doesn't have aliens - a game that allowed you to play as Predator, Alien, or Human with those graphics would be awesome. But this still looks like it will be good.
That looks pretty sexy, I'll be getting this the day it comes out. Hopefully the movie will live up to everyone's expectations.
Wow, it took this long for a Predator game? Glad we're getting one though, the first movie was great! Hopefully we get to see the Predator side of the Story. If you've ever been a Predator in a video game, you'll understand why, and you probably will even if you haven't. Now if only we could get an Alien(s) game, god dammit. Edit: Nevermind, looks like it will follow the Predator's Adventure.
