Edit: The game has been approved by Apple and will go live on April 6th! The price will be $0.99. New Trailer: HD Version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_dnKYa7DQl4&hd=1
Looks great! Are you going to add a drawing feature in-game? Because I dont have an iPhone and its a big hassle to import pictures to my iPod... otherwise, good job!
Cool, reminds me of Shoot Em Up Contstruction Set, Blast Works, or even A Doodle Flight Will keep an eye out for this!
Wow! That looks amazing. This is definately worthy of a front page mention (where are you, mods?). So have you thought about adding different mini games? For example, you could have the space/arcade shooter, a top down racer, a platformer etc. Some variety would be nice, but it looks great as it is. I will definately be keeping track/following the progress of this game.
I have thought of how to apply this to almost every genre, but "top down 2d shooter" seemed like the easiest place to start. If this game is successful expect to see plenty of Sketch Nation <Insert Genre Here>.
Looks great but you should take a look at the control system from Lazrhog's Nois2za, pixel perfect control and it's easy to keep your fingers away from the action. Very easy to implement too.
Wow, this looks awesome. Put my drawing skills to the test... A great idea would be the option to save your game, and then send it via Blutooth or upload it to a server so freinds could try it. Definately gonna keep track of this one.
Yes I am (mentally) prepared for this. I would not be surprised if the first game submitted involved a lot of penis-shaped ships.
Here are two game-play movies from two of the games that will be shipped with Sketch Nation Shooter: Both games were hand-drawn by one of our talented artist, were imported through the Photo Library and then processed by the in-game code, and were then created completely using the in-game editor. They are both still in Alpha version and will be included with the game when it is released. Enjoy: Zorx Attacks! Nothing I tried works. Hopefully someone can do it.
