Looks nice, hopefully the buildings don't disappear when you scroll around the map like the current version in the appstore does. Kinda pulls you out of the experience.

    Looks polished very much.
Does the only difference between this and version currently available are two new buildings?

Then I have to take a look in the AppStore. :)

    From: http://www.gadgetrepublic.com/news/item/1795/gaming/simcity-deluxe-headed-to-iphone-this-summer/

SimCity Deluxe will not be a free update as many surely hoped but will be a separate new game that will be added to the App Store some time this summer.

Electronic Arts promises a total makeover with a better UI that includes larger buttons, better flow and more accessible items so that it will be as easy to play on the iPhone a it was on the PC.

Visually, the graphics have also got a refresh so that the game looks more like SimCity 4 and the frame rate has been improved.

Modifying terrain will be more intuitive: you will be able to finger-paint water, land and trees by touch and there is more control over how your city's landscape is shaping up.

There will be seven scenarios and seven start cities plus four seasons linked to seasonal disaster that will test your city management skills.

-- I might be interested this time around if touch usability is ramped up about 100%.

I actually hope it isn't TOO much like simcity 4. I have played it on many different macs, all with different specs, and it was always very laggy, with a ton of bugs. Hopefully the game is not based on sc4, but rather an improvement on whatever it is now. Just my opinion. Other than that though, it looks really cool. I can't wait.

I have Simcity 2000, 3000, 4 Delux(including Rush Hour), DS 1 and 2, Society, on Iphone, and Creator(on wii)... The new one will just add +1 to my Simcity collection...

I think its more of a hybrid of both 3k Unlimited and 4.

The thing i didnt like about simcity on iphone its way too hard. On the ds version i was able to build massive towns easier. Hope they tweak the diffuculty.

    According to an inside source I have at EA, SimCity: Deluxe is dated to come out;

    - End of July if not early August
    - Price for the iPhone will be 2.99 - iPad will be 5.99

First of all, I'm really not surprised they're not releasing it as an update, are people really naive enough to think it would be free!?

And secondly, the release date is speculated to be late July or early August... we can therefore tell it will be September.

I do but that's very unlikely to happen. We're talking about EA after all.

Me too! It's a much better game than Sim City! I'm surprised that no one cared to comment on Don_K's post.
