If already exists a poll like that, please, delete....

I'm actually satisfied with that list you gave. Nano Fighter is technically a.. Body shooter? And cs.one is a network shooter =P

Damn this is really hard to choose just one...

I dunno, I mean not all of them are exactly the same. Some are built around high scores and traditional arcade gaming, others have certain strategy elements to them. Some try to be as realistic as possible. My favorites have to be (in no particular order):

    Light Wars
    Galaxy on Fire
    Isotope
    Circuit Strike.one

But it's hard to choose the "best" one, since the topic is so subjective. Gotta hand it to you, though, the poll's pretty comprehensive.

LOL wow we think alike :D

    For me it's either

    Nano Fighter
    Blue Attack
    Isotope
    Circuit Strike.one
    Light Wars
    Dropship

I'm not even going to vote x.x
My brain power goes solely to Galactic Gunner contest clues =P

I was just trying to figure it out the best shooter to grab....

When I went to iTunes, the last section on the Games section is Best Space Shooter.....I am just trying to get the real selection based on gamers....

Personally, I like shooter games that makes me keep playing and trying to stay alive for more and more....kind of iDracula type of survival....

As far as I know, Light Wars and Isotope could be my choice. But suddenly I got second feeling about cs.one....

Anyway, I know that is a broad list and they are not perfectly comparable....lets just try.....

LOL I didn't even see that at the bottom =P

That's a great list for once from Apple =D

A good survival shooter, that makes you want more and more? Go with Nano Fighter then. It has the best controls, an update is along the way with a new fresh background, and spread fire mode as well =D

light wars or isotope is the best route to take. cs.one is good but it isnt the enemies that typically beat you, it is you messing up on the controls but this can be cuz im not the greatest but that is my experience.

i absolutely love geometry wars so light wars and isotope do seem the best for me
you cant go wrong with either

edit: i voted for light wars

Belowscape and Blue Attack have great replay value, two of my favorites.

I have all the other games, its just taking forever to get caught up playing the games I have then deleting them to make ICON room, at this rate I never will.
I'm still unhappy with apple not addressing this in 3.0, sure they give you more icons but no folders or a better way to manage games and save data.

Yeah they talk about a ton of stuff, but don't even mention there'll be TWO MORE pages of space? That's a huge part of the update.

Personally i enjoyed Dropship, and cs.one the most from your list. I can't wait to kick some serious galactic butt once the lag is sorted out in cs.one.
However if your looking for more of a geometry wars type game then go for Nanofighter or Light wars.
Also, check out PewPew. I really love the 'Dodge This' mode, and its FREEEEEEEE:)

I don't really think that Galaxy on Fire really belongs among top-down shooters. I mean, it's more of a dogfighting game. But anyway I voted for that :)

In terms of actual space shooters, I would choose The Void, but my vote goes to Isotope.

Wow, another one of these threads ;) That's ok, I never get sick of talking about how great NanoFighter is. It's the best one out of the bunch control-wise, and if you're looking for the "survive as long as possible" type game then it's the best at that too. I just can't stop talking this game up, it's really one of my favorites. It could hang with the arcade classics of yesteryear IMO, simple concept but impossible to master. And I always seem to see Eve444 and Bat Outta Hell praising this game in these threads too, hi guys! Anyway, I don't think anyone can be disappointed picking up NanoFighter.

And actually, PewPew is a pretty awesome game as well and you just can't beat free.

CS.one!! This is probably the first ipod game that I'll think back on years from now! It's made the same impression on me as the first time I played geo wars. And after tons of geo wars clones, it feels really fresh with the asteroids element. Future classic.

    I also like:
    Isotope
    Galaxy on Fire
    Blue Attack

Haven't played nano or light wars.
