I'm debating which version to get of this- iPhone or iPad (they are both the same price at the moment at $5.99). I tend to like action RPGs more on the smaller screen, especially when virtual joysticks are involved. Any thoughts? Does this play extremely well on the iPad, controls and all?

Plays great on iPad. I prefer the larger screen but if you want the portabiliy then I'm sure the iPhone version is great too. There is no doubt I would want the iPad version if I have both in front of me.

Yes they can, I have both the standard iPhone version and the HD iPad version - they work perfectly fine together.

Lvl 39 (mebbe 40) Crusader just completed normal and trying to get full Angelic, if anyone wants to get online and mess around on normal mode lemme know! :)

This game was freakin' awesome and now I completed it I just had a look at hard mode but I dunno if I can be assed with it tbh, so I'll prolly just try and help out people in normal or whatever.

I've not actually been online with it yet, but I'd love to try. I've been waiting on their server for ages (on iPad) trying to find a game but it never seems to find players so I'm hoping arranging something with friends works better?

Anyone try the ipod version at 2x? Looking at the size of the app in the app store the iphone version is actually BIGGER by almost 100mb. Not sure if it's compression or what but it makes me wonder about the graphic quality on ipad.

Saw it on a friends ipod and it looked fantastic.

That's because they pack in the iPhone version 2 versions of the graphic files, a) standard definition for iPhone 3GS/iTouch 3rd gen (dunno if game runs on iPhone 3G or iTouch 2nd gen -- b) "retina" definition for iPhone 4, iTouch 4th gen

Looks ok to me the iPad. Not as sharp as DH HD (I have not bought DH2 HD yet.) but certainly reasonable. The DH games are among my favorite Gameloft games.

Is it advised to play the original Dungeon Hunter before playing the second one? Thanks.

This seems like a decent enough game, I just wish there was the option to zoom the camera out a tad.

Yeah, I wanted that too. Just a tad more. Get use to it after a while I guess.

No, you don't need to play Dungeon Hunter 1 first. This story is set I believe 25 years after Dungeon Hunter 1. Though it takes place in the same realm of Gothicus, the stories are not linked.
